Disability Rights Fund

The Disability Rights Fund (DRF) supports Disabled Persons Organizations in the developing world to take the lead in advocating for the human rights of persons with disabilities at local and national levels, utilizing the mechanism of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The DRF focuses grant-making on building the capacity of DPOs to be full and equal participants in the achievement of rights for the world’s one billion people with disabilities.

Making impact on the lives of people with disabilities by empowering them to advocate for equal rights and full participation in society, the DRF currently works in 24 countries around the world. It has granted $10 million for rights advancement by DPOs across the developing world since its inception in 2008.
