Computer Aid International is a UK-registered ICT for development charity which aims to reduce poverty through practical ICT solutions. We collect IT equipment for distribution in hospitals, universities, schools and not-for-profit organisations in over 100 countries
However, the computers are not offered free of cost. Organizations applying for computers have to pay some cost and also arrange their transportation to their own countries. However, Computer Aid International promises to offer maximum volume of high quality computers or laptops at lowest cost possible.
Computer Aid International supplies computers only to these four types of organisation.
- Duly registered non-for-profit organisation
- School, University or other Educational Institution
- Religious organisation which has a charitable purpose
- Any other community based organisations
To apply for computers, you need to fill a short application form. If your application is approved, then you need to either collect the computers directly from its warehouse in London or request Computer Aid International for shipping them to your country. In latter case, the cost towards shipping expenses has to be covered by the applicant.
