The International Book Project accepts requests for books from organizations throughout the world, such as churches, missionary groups, primary and secondary schools, community and school libraries, universities, and the U.S. Peace Corps. Applicants must fill out an IBP Application to Receive Books. Each application is evaluated by IBP staff for quality of organizational structure, English-language competence, and number of people served by the organization.
The International Book Project partners with schools, libraries, medical and religious institutions, and Peace Corps Volunteers.
In order to serve partners in the most efficient way possible, IBP must limit itself to 150-200 partnerships, each lasting for a period of three years.
The International Book Project will only accept applications when current 3-year terms expire. While this will be on a rolling basis, it may be irregular.
IBP works closely with its partners to send books that are of interest to the people in recipient communities. You will be required to speak with members of your community of various ages, backgrounds, and interests in order to determine the need. This information will be submitted to the International Book Project so that you can receive books that will be used and loved by citizens in your community.
