The Center for development of Population Activities (CEDPA) and the Independent Television Service (ITVS) have announced to work together for the cause of Women and Girls Lead initiative, a multi-year public media project. The main objective of this initiative is to draw attention of the society and authorities to the issues and problems faced by women and girls around the world.
ITVS and their partners have plans to combine different forms of media including documentary films such as Iron Ladies of Liberia, television programs such as PBS’s Independent Lens and interactive social media events such as live chats on the Beyond the Box blog to educate and connect people with opportunities to bring positive change and solutions to the issues.
With this partnership, CEDPA will be able to amplify the voices of the initiative with the stories of alumni and partners. CEDPA’s will post further announcement regarding the project on its web site.
