(4) Capacity-building

Transfer of skills and resources to beneficiaries is one of the core values of the proposed action. This transfer will be undertaken through a series of capacity-building programmes, which will build management skills of the community in organizational development and livelihood enhancement. Formation of CBOs will be an important outcome of this method.

The reason for adopting this method is to ensure that project efforts remain sustainable and community-owned and operated. Management skills within the community will ensure equity, welfare and contribution while carrying out programmes with or without the support of external agencies.

(5) Information Communication

The Information Technology skill development will be a new addition to the livelihood strategy. Youths, including girls will be involved in learning ICT skills and helped them locally get employed in ICT learning centres.

This reason for selecting this method is: the ICT sector is rapidly advancing into the rural areas and it could be next employment boomer for the younger generation. Girls can feel more empowered with ICT knowledge and generate better incomes to households.
