Women and Girls: Women and girls will be the main target group of the proposed action. These clientele are from areas most affected by conflict and highly vulnerable to trafficking and rights violations. This group also includes victims and survivors of trafficking who have been rescued or have repatriated. It is expected that nearly 9,000 women and 5,000 girls across six districts of Nepal will benefit from this project.
Youths: The project will involve youths from the poorest section of the conflict-affected communities, who will directly benefit from the project activities. The project aims to cover 3,000 youths in the project area by helping them build entrepreneurship and job-oriented skills.
NGOs: Three partner NGOs will be involved in capacity-building activities and institutionalization process
Final Beneficiaries
Households: A total number of 10,000 households will benefit from better incomes and new livelihood opportunities promoted by the proposed action.
Men: About 2,700 men will be mobilized as another potential final client group in building livelihoods and assure promotion of gender rights.
NGOs: Other interested NGOs will also be involved in this process to cover the multiplier effects of the proposed action.
Local Government Institutions: The district development offices will be closely involved in all six districts and their capacities will be developed during the process of the project implementation.
Community at large: 40,000 community members in the targeted districts will benefit from an improved social and economic environment.
