The Empower Women & Children Fund at the Center for Arab American Philanthropy is inviting applicants in order to support economic empowerment opportunities for women.
The Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) is a national community foundation. A program of ACCESS, CAAP’s objective is to unite and empower the Arab American community by demonstrating the impact of giving together. It improves communities by making grants to nonprofit organizations.

- entrepreneurship and small business development.
Funding Information
- CAAP will award grants up to a maximum of $5,000 each for organizations seeking support for women’s economic empowerment initiatives
- The awards will be announced in December 2015, with the grant period starting January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2016.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2015 Empower Women & Children Fund Grants the organization must:
- Be a U.S. based Arab American nonprofit serving the Arab American community. CAAP defines an Arab American nonprofit as an organization that self-identifies as Arab American, and has a majority Arab American representation among the leadership of the organization and the populations served.
- Have an annual budget of less than $3,500,000.
- Currently have valid 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
