European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) is inviting applications for Country Based Support Schemes (CBSS) for Tajikistan under Europe Aid. The purpose of this program is contribute to the development and consolidation of democracy and the rule of law and respect for all human rights and fundamental freedoms within the framework of the Community’s policy on development cooperation and economic, financial and technical cooperation with third countries, consistent with the European Union’s foreign policy as a whole.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is one million eight hundred thousands Euros from budget years 2012 and 2013.
Objectives-
- Promotion of Human Rights
- Democratic Reform and the development of a democratic political culture
- Promoting non-discrimination, gender equality, social and economic rights, including labor and housing rights, particularly with respect to vulnerable and marginalized groups
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- belong to the one of the following categories as defined per article 10 of the EIDHR Regulation-
- civil society organisations, including non-governmental non-profit organisations and independent political foundations, community based organisations, and private sector nonprofit agencies, institutions and organisations, and networks thereof at local, national, regional and international level
- public sector non-profit agencies, institutions and organisations and networks at local, national, regional, and international level
- International (inter-governmental) organisations as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules to the EC Financial Regulation. However, in case of a multi-beneficiary grant, an International Organisation cannot be the applicant
- be established in a Member State of the European Union or in the Republic of Tajikistan or in other eligible countries.
