Proposals are being accepted for IPA Cross Border Cooperation Programme between the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Kosovo under EuropeAid. The mission of this program is to promote cooperation between people, communities and institutions of the bordering areas, aiming to foster economic development, social cohesion and environmental development in a sustainable manner.
Objectives-
- Promote economic development of the programme area through facilitation of trade and economic valorisation of its tourist and cultural potentials
- Support joint initiatives and actions aimed at protecting the environment and promoting sustainable natural resources development
- Promote social cohesion by encouraging cooperation between citizens and communities through partnership building across the border
Thematic areas-
- Economic and social development and promotion of natural and cultural resources
- Social cohesion and people-to-people initiatives
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is € 3,190,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 12 months nor exceed 24 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons (individuals are note eligible, nor are informal alliances or initiatives without legal status) registered at least two (2) years before the call is launched and
- belong to one of the following categories-
- Local government authorities
- Regional development centres and agencies, (responsible at regional or municipal level, in Kosovo
- Regional Development Agencies are not eligible to apply), ( for e.g. natural park administrations, forestry directorates, s cultural institutions
- Local labour offices
- Civil society organisations
- Professional associations
- Chambers of commerce
- Public agencies or organisations
- public enterprises (note that for this Grant scheme private companies are not eligible; SMEs may benefit indirectly from this Call for Proposals through the Chambers of Commerce)
- Universities, schools, educational and research institutions
- be non-profit making for the purpose of this Call for Proposals
- be nationals of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, a Member State of the European Union, other IPA beneficiary country, a country that is a beneficiary of the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI), or a Member State of the European Economic Area, with the exception of the international (inter-governmental) organisations
- the lead applicant be registered or accredited in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia when applying for the allocation assigned to former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and be registered or accredited in Kosovo when applying for the allocation assigned to Kosovo the lead applicant must also have been operational for at least two (2) years before the deadline for submission of this Call for Proposal
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their co-applicants, not acting as an intermediary
