Proposals are accepted for Non-State Actors and Local Authorities Programme in Egypt under EuropeAid. The goal of this program is to to strengthen civil society in Egypt as a per-condition for a more equitable, open and democratic society.
Objectives-
- To strengthen the capacity of Non-State Actors in Egypt, with a view to facilitating their participation in defining, implementing and monitoring poverty reduction and sustainable development strategies
- To empower populations excluded from local policy making processes and with limited access to social services through awareness raising, promoting their participation in local forums and improving their access to social services
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 1,000,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal person
- be non-profit-making and be nationals of Egypt, or a Member State of the European Union, in an accession or official candidate country as recognised by the European Union or in a Member State of the European Economic Area
- be Non-State Actors (NSA) constituted in accordance with the legislation in force in the country concerned
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
