São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), São Paulo, Brazil, and the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) are jointly inviting proposals for Joint Research Projects Biobased Economy. The objective of this program is to focus on investigate crop improvement, sustainable agriculture, biorefinery processes and hybrid catalytic conversion of biomass.
The call for proposals funds joint Netherlands-Brazilian (São Paolo) research projects in the field of bio based economy. An important tool of this call is to facilitate the bilateral collaboration by exchange of researchers between the host labs for several months. Involvement of a third research party in another country is also possible.
FAPESP will provide funding of up to the equivalent to € 140.000 (one hundred and forty thousand Euros) per proposal and NWO will provide funding of up to € 300.000 (three hundred thousand Euros) per proposal, for the period established in the award.
Eligibility & Criteria-
Eligible proposals are submitted by Brazilian researchers within the region of São Paolo and researchers within the Netherlands. In each country one principal investigator submits the proposal at its national council. Group leaders (assistant, associate or full professors) at a university or NWO approved research institutes in the Netherlands can apply. In Brazil, Principal Investigators affiliated with higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo can apply.
