UK-UA has announced funding opportunities for projects to support governance and economic reform, including combating corruption and improving business climate. The programme aims to provide assistance to the Ukrainian government, civil society and the business community to build a democratic and accountable government and a healthier economy in Ukraine.
The projects will start in April 2015 and will be carried out in Ukraine during 2015-2016 (ending 31 March 2016). The funds available are £100,000- £200,000.
Focus Areas
This call for proposals invites applications, falling under two priorities:
- Good governance, accountability and transparency, with a particular focus on tackling and preventing corruption.
- Implementation of economic reforms, with a particular focus on proposals to support an improved business climate.
Eligibility Criteria
- International non-governmental organisations including both not-for-profit and for-profit organisations, as well as consortia of organizations are eligible to receive funding through this program.
- Eligible organizations must include a Ukrainian partner with:
- A demonstrated reputation for high quality work in the types of activities identified above
- A track record of effective delivery in former Soviet Union countries
- Ability to work in Russian and Ukrainian languages
- The proposed budget must be £100,000 to £200,000.

All proposals should be submitted in the UK-UA Grant Application Form (MS Word Document, 155KB), together with the Activity Based Budget Form (MS Excel Spreadsheet, 21.5KB), providing the breakdown of proposed project costs.
