USAID/Paraguay Economic Development Program

Applications are accepted for Paraguay Economic Development Program under USAID. the goal of this program is to improve stability and security by strengthening democratic institutions and rule of law, increasing economic opportunities for vulnerable groups, encouraging a more efficient business environment and institutionalizing reform.

USAID intends to provide between $8,000,000 and $10,000,000 in total USAID funding for the life of the activity.

Eligibility & Criteria-

Applicant must be-

•  if a for-profit organization-

1. be organized under the laws of Paraguay
2. have its principal place of business in Paraguay
3. be majority beneficially owned by individuals who are citizens or lawful permanent
4. residents of Paraguay

• if a not-for-profit organization

1. be organized under the laws of Paraguay
2. have its principal place of business in Paraguay
3. be managed by a governing body, the majority of whom are citizens or lawful permanent residents of Paraguay

• Have been in operation as a local Paraguayan organization for no less than three years immediately preceding the date of application.
