Submit research proposals to get scholarship fund up to US$7,000 to undertake your research in one of the below mentioned subject areas. The IDB-INTAL (Inter -American Development Bank-Institute for the Integration of Latin America and the Caribbean) and the South American Network on Applied Economics/Red Sur are jointly distributing the scholarship grants in the title Young Economists Award.
The primary purpose of the award is to promote the insertion of young people in the field of economic research and knowledge creation in areas of interest to regional and global integration.
Prizes
- First Prize – US$7,000 Scholarship to undertake the research submitted
- Second Prize – US$5,500 Scholarship to undertake the research submitted
- Third Prize – US$4,000 Scholarship to undertake the research submitted
The winning authors will present the results of their research at a regional seminar organized by IDB-INTAL as part of its 50th Anniversary celebrations in 2015.

Application materials include – letter of application, research proposal, curriculum vitae and contact information, scanned identity document, and courses taken/degree certificate in case of advanced studies.
