South African Schools Competition 2012 is one of the most effective ways to reduce poverty and encourage entrepreneurship. The main aim of 2EE Simama Ranta South African challenge program is to prepare their learners to consider entrepreneurship as career choice and to become creators of jobs rather than job seekers.
The major objective of this national program is to offer a variety of models of comprehensive, quality entrepreneurship education, representing South Africa’s diverse education system.
“Eskom Entrepreneurship Education Simama Ranta” will therefore facilitate the winning schools to serve as leaders in mentoring other schools. The winning schools will receive a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and each of the other eight provincial winners will each receive a cash prize of R10 000 to enable them to fulfill their role as ambassadors of entrepreneurship education.
These schools will become known as the top-rated entrepreneurship education schools in the 9 provinces (PEES) and in South Africa (NEES).
