Applications invited for graduate programs are evaluated by the Admissions Committee of the relevant program. Admission is finalized by the approval of the related Graduate School Board upon the recommendation of the Admissions Committee and announced to the applicant.
Approval by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YÖK) regarding recognizing the institution and compatibility of the education received is required for applicants with a degree from an institution abroad. Applicants may be invited for written exams and interviews. All written exams and interviews are held in English.
Application Documents and Requirements:

- Candidates can apply to more than one program via the online system. A separate application form should be filled out for each program to which a candidate wishes to apply
- Official Transcript- A sealed official transcript issued by the Student Affairs unit of the applicant’s previous university should be submitted. This document should indicate the courses taken and grades received by the applicant
- Two Letters of Recommendation- These should be either submitted online or posted in a sealed envelope. For the sample letter
- One Photograph
- Result for Graduate Program Entrance Exam- The applicant must submit the one of the following exams. Photocopies of the scores are accepted for application, but original copies should be submitted upon admission and enrollment
Applicants who do not submit a valid English Proficiency Exam score can only be admitted to graduate study on the condition of obtaining a satisfactory grade in Sabancı University’s own English Language Assessment Exam (ELAE). Those candidates who fail to attend or get a satisfactory score in the exam are obliged to attend and successfully complete a full course of English Language Preparation in order to continue with graduate courses. Failure to complete this course successfully will result in termination of enrollment at Sabancı University.
Graduates of Sabancı University are exempt from submitting an English Proficiency Exam score provided that they apply within two years following their graduation. The candidates are strongly recommended to submit the following items, for these characteristics and documents will play an important role in the evaluation of an application.
