Deadline: 30 April 2015
The Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) is accepting proposals for vendor participation in Classroom of the Future to assist with the development of the highly anticipated and new concept for the 2015 PASA-PSBA School Leadership Conference in Hershey, October 13-16. The intent is to create multiple educational environments (view floorplan, isometric views) within a “Classroom of the Future.”
Each station should demonstrate future learning methodologies. The primary focus will be four (4) 10×10 areas centrally located within the exhibit hall consisting of a presentation forum, discovery zone, think tank/collaboration zone, and project based maker space. Each of these areas will display and promote products, materials (including flooring), and services that illustrate a project and student based learning environment.
The opportunity is flexible and allows the chance to demonstrate anything from technology tools to learning programs to science labs and even a simulated outdoor environment.
Categories
Listed below are the categories (learning space) in which vendors will select and provide a detailed summary of their approach identifying every aspect of a completed presentation area focused on the future of learning:
- Presentation Forum: area for students to attend lessons, lectures
- Discovery Zone: represents area where students best engage in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education
- Think Tank/Collaboration/Zone: students working together, whether brainstorming in conversation or handson with a 3D project, and so on
- Project Based Maker Space: loose furniture with plug-in wireless technology allowing students to work individually, in groups, or as participating pupils
- Social Area/Informal Seating: an area where students can disengage to refresh and energize
- Genius Bar: a technology zone with computers and tablets
- Testing/Quality Control: an area where students can test and perform quality control measures
- Environmental Zones: an area containing environmental displays
- Learning Labs: an area to showcase product designed for schools
Set up, duration and knockdown requirements:
