Request for Applications (RFA) is invited by Higher Education for Development (HED) in association with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). This request for applications is announced for the Women’s Leadership Program in Agriculture (2012) being held in Rwanda.
An award amount of $1,080,000 USD will be given to the partnership between one or more reputed educational institutions in the United States and the Faculty of Agriculture at the National University of Rwanda (NUR) in Butare, Rwanda. The major objective of the partnership is to enhance women’s involvement in advanced degrees in agricultural sciences and women’s empowerment in agriculture.
This association is part of an extensive as well as innovative effort known as the Women’s Leadership Program. The main aim of this programme is to support national as well as local development goals which promote gender equality and female empowerment. HED anticipates issuing around five RFAs for higher education partnerships under the Women’s Leadership Program in Rwanda, Paraguay, South Sudan and Armenia.
