The Challenge Fund is seeking applications to fund Environmental Education projects in Northern Ireland.
Applications are encouraged from those who have not previously benefited from the fund, particularly those which seek to provide assistance to vulnerable groups e.g. elderly, disabled, economically deprived etc.
Funding Information
Environmental Education projects may be funded to a maximum of £4,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nursery, Primary and Secondary level schools. (Third level education organizations are not eligible to apply).
- The fund is ONLY available to organisations that, as of 1st July 2015, are not recipients of the Natural Environment Fund or any other source of Carrier Bag Levy funding
- The fund is NOT open to statutory bodies or ‘for profit’ companies. The involvement of statutory bodies in partnership projects is strongly encouraged, but the lead partner must be a community group or a Nursery/Primary/Secondary schools.
- Community groups should be embedded in their local community, and their primary aims and objectives should be focused on the benefit to the community are eligible to apply.
