Pro Natura Foundation Japan is seeking applications for conservation grant program i.e PRO NATURA FUND. The mission of this programme is to focus on the scientific research concerning the conservation of biodiversity and the relationship between humans and the environment.
Scope of Projects:
- Research projects concerning the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystems. OR
- Research projects aiming at achieving a better understanding of the relationship and interactions between man and the environment (including environmental education projects).
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicants should be an individual or a group in non OECD countries and must be recommended by a scientist or a member of environmental groups in Japan.
- Applicants should have excellent achievement in the field of nature conservation and/or environmental education.
Required qualification of Projects:
- The research should contribute to the conservation and the sustainable use of natural resources in non OECD countries.
- Outcome of the project should be published effectively in the countries concerned and should not bring any benefit or disadvantage to specific political parties, religions, races, tribes, social hierarchy, etc.
- Project results should not be used to secure profits for commercial purposes.
- Accounting procedures must be properly carried out and accurately reported to the secretariat of PRO NATURA FUND.
- Project proposals should not be made simultaneously to any other organizations in Japan.
