The program is part of the priorities of the Country Strategy Paper (CSP) and National Indicative Programme (NIP) and the 10th EDF perfectly integrated policies and strategies of Chad in rural development, expressed through the PRSP and the ILOLR. For an overall program cost 14 million euros (9.183.398.000F CFA), a component of the LRSP-II is funded to the tune of 7 million euros (4.591.699.000F CFA) for a period of five years (January 28, 2011 to January 27, 2016).
The LRSP-II reinforces and supports the dynamics of endogenous development based on participatory local development while contributing to the conservation and sustainable socioeconomic development of production systems and ecosystems in eastern Chad. These dynamics of endogenous development were supported by several programs and projects to this end, the emergence of community structures with basic skills in local planning, structuring and formulation of actions and initiatives taking into account the real needs of populations.
The overall objective of this call for proposals is to improve food security, good governance and the maintenance of biodiversity through integrated and sustainable management of natural resources through a local development approach.
The specific objective of this call for proposals aims to implement actions for sustainable management of natural resources listed in the 26 PDL developed by PRODABO and or other types of local planning to secure and enhance the productive potential of intervention area of a component of the LRSP II.
Eligibility-.
- be a legal person or entity without legal personality and
- nonprofit
- belong to one of the following categories: Cantonal Development Committees (CDC) or equivalent structures, Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs), ridge of Producer Organisations (Federations, platform), Village Development Association, and intervillage Intercantonal recognized by local authorities and
- be nationals of a Member State of the European Union, ACP and other nationalities eligible under Regulation 1905/2006 (Annex a2a and a2b the PRAG) establishing a financing instrument for development cooperation and Articles 20 and 22 of Annex IV / 2010 of the Revised Cotonou Agreement and,
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners and not just acting as an intermediary;
