SIANI is pleased to invite proposals from Expert Groups in Low-Income Countries for Food Security and Nutrition. SIANI is a member-based network that supports and promotes Swedish expertise and provides an open and interactive platform for engagement and dialogue in a global context. SIANI facilitates activities across the sector with diverse membership including government, civil society, private sector and academia.
The major purpose of this programme is to Promote dialogue and collaboration on sustainable food security, with a focus on low-income countries. Also to establish long-term form of institutional support for Swedish policy development and to strengthen the capacity and competence of Swedish institutions.
Objectives of Expert Groups:
- Exchange information or updating information regarding an issue related to Food and Nutrition security for development
- Get in depth knowledge about a specific topic and different approaches
- Collaborate to raise the issues jointly and influence a policy process in Sweden and/or internationally
- Network with potential collaborators
- Support Swedish resource base, and Swedish institutions working with partners in developing countries
- Collaborate with internationally like minded groups in a structured manner
Eligibility criteria:
The main target audiences for the expert groups are SIANI members, policy makers, Swedish Resource Base(SRB) and partners in developing countries. The expert groups do not have to be based within Sweden, however they must have a significant connection to the SRB. For example connections may be Swedish nationals in the country,Swedish business operations, Swedish development projects or connections to debates and organizations in Sweden.
