Organizations defending the environment in Eastern and Western Europe have chances to obtain grants from the Humane Earth Foundation. The organizations and associations with projects involving concrete action and actual implementation of change in lifestyle are invited to submit ‘letter of motivation’ outline their project and the amount of subsidy required.
The Humane Earth Foundation is a Swiss foundation established by a small number of individuals concerned about the environment. The foundation aims at defending the natural environment and biodiversity; and combating poverty and exclusion, especially concerning food safety and wholesomeness, together with access to quality health care.
Innovative initiatives contributing to make the actual changes in ways of life and ways of doing things are highly encouraged for funding applications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be organizations, associations or institutions defending environment, established in one or the following eligible countries in Eastern and Western Europe: Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Moldova, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Belarus, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia; Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and United Kingdom.
- Applications from small associations in Western and Eastern Europe that are in real financial difficulty are prioritized.
- Proposals can be made for collectively-oriented projects conducted by solidarity-based groups of people. Individual applications are not considered.
- Proposed project must clearly state the goal, available means, budget and various sources of funding to make the project sustainable.
