The Humane Earth Foundation is accepting letter of inquiry from organizations in Western & Eastern Europe working in the environment sector to apply for Grant. Projects involving concrete action and actual implementation of change in lifestyle are supported by the foundation. Small associations in Western and Eastern Europe that are in real financial difficulty are highly encouraged to apply.
The Humane Earth Foundation was started in 2001 by a small number of private individuals who are worried about the state of the environment. The foundation aims:
- to protect the natural environment and biodiversity;
- to fight against poverty and exclusion, especially in regard to food security and food safety, and access to quality care.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be organizations, associations or institutions defending environment.
- Applicants must be established in one of the following eligible countries in Eastern and Western Europe.
- Proposed projects should be – really innovative that contributes to making actual changes in ways of life and ways of doing things; and collectively-oriented, conducted by solidarity-based groups of people.
- Individual projects and awareness-raising projects will not be supported.
Application Procedure
- Sending by email a short letter of motivation to the Foundation, outlining the project and the amount of subsidy required.
- Applicants will receive a response within a short period of time taken to review the letter of motivation.
- Invited applicants should submit a complete dossier for examination. The dossier must show in particular the goals of the project, the means made available, the budget and the various sources of funding envisaged. The document should not be more than 5 pages.
- Projects will be selected for funding and an agreement will be signed between the organization and the foundation.
