The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy Program on the People’s Republic of China invites academic papers addressing land, urban, fiscal, and environmental related issues in China.
The opportunity is international fellowship grant that range between US$25,000 to US$30,000.
Focus Areas
- Land Policy and Development- land markets in Chinese urban areas and international experiences of effective and efficient land use management and regulations.
- Urban Planning and Development- the role of planning and market forces as determinants of urban development.
- Land, Property Taxation, and Local Public Finance- the costs of public services and the revenue sources to pay for them.
- Social Housing Policy- affordable housing in developing housing markets.
- Environment and Urban Sustainability- the nexus between urban development practices, the environment, and creating sustainable practices.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants must have a PhD in a relevant subject or a proven publication experience in relevant academic journals a the time of submission.
- The proposal should include- cover sheet, project abstract, table of contents, calendar of activities, detailed budget, and project description.
Note: Project Evaluation will be made on the basis of significance, clarity, theoretical/conceptual framework, methodology, feasibility, and expected contribution to the field.
