The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) has announced 10th Call for proposals in Mozambique for Large Grants ($20,000 or more) and Small Grants (less than $20,000). It invites civil society organizations to submit Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for biodiversity conservation projects in Mozambique within the Eastern Afromontane Biodiversity Hotspot.

Eligibility Criteria
- Non-governmental organizations, community groups, private enterprises, universities and other civil society applicants can apply for funding.
- Projects must be located within the eastern Afromontane Biodiversity Hotspot and Mozambique.
- Organizations must have their own bank account and must be authorized under relevant national laws to receive charitable contributions.
- Government-owned enterprises or institutions are eligible only if they can demonstrate that they have a legal personality independent of any government agency or actor, has the authority to apply for and receive private funds; and may not assert a claim of sovereign immunity.
How to apply?
For Small Grants
Applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) via e-mail in English or Portuguese using the forms available at the website by 28 November 2014.
For Large Grants
Applicants will have to either create an account on the website or if they already have a Google account, they can log in with their Google name and password. Applicants can also use their Microsoft account (Hotmail, outlook.com, Xbox) to log in. After logging in, the candidate will have to submit a Letter of Inquiry by 14 November 2014.
For Letter of Inquiry (LOI)
As part of the letter of inquiry, applicants should submit a Project Rationale and Project Approach that relates work in one or more of the Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs).
