The National Humanities Center (NHC) invites individuals from the natural and social sciences background to become the residential fellow to advance study in the humanities for academic-year or semester-long residencies.
The NHC affords access to the rich cultural and intellectual communities supported by the North Carolina region’s many research institutes and universities. It also helps the fellows find housing in the neighboring communities.

- Environmental Studies
- Asian Studies
- Theology
- Philosophy
- English Literature
- Art History
The NHC will provide up to 40 residential fellowships for the session 2015-16.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be from anywhere in the world outside USA.
- Applications should be made for one of the above mentioned interest areas.
- Applicants must commit to relocate to the NHC area for the residential fellowship for a period of one academic year or one semester.
