Colorado State University, School of Global Environmental Sustainability (SoGES) is seeking grant applications for 2014-15 Global Challenges Research Teams (GCRTs). The team will engage in scholarly, creative research and problem solving bringing together the best research across colleges and disciplines.
The applicants should submit proposals that will build interdisciplinary cross campus collaborations, build research strengths for pressing global to regional environmental issues, and are highly innovative and/or enterprising in nature. The proposals should demonstrate advance research in sustainability science through integration of environmental, societal, and economic knowledge in a team-based, creative, experiential approach to real-world problem solving. The proposals should provide strategies to sustain their GCRT if successful. Past GCRTs are encouraged to reapply.
The six focal areas for research are Climate Change and Energy; Food Security; Environmental Institutions and Governance; Sustainable Communities; Land and Water Resources; and Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Proposals must be sent in pdf format through online submission method.
- Curriculum Vitae of each GCRT member should be attached along with the proposal.
- The proposal should mention the list of research focal areas addressed by the GCRT.
