This is the first call in Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) Urban Europe – creating attractive, sustainable and economically viable urban areas.
The aim of JPI Urban Europe is to coordinate research and innovation in order to make better use of Europe´s public funds.
The scope of the call is broad; it covers new and innovative approaches, promotes interdisciplinary research and collaboration and encourages the involvement of stakeholders, thus bridging gaps between research disciplines, citizens and decision makers, city and transport planner, producers and consumers. Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary projects, research, experiments and implementation with active involvement from different parts of society are encouraged.

Eligibility-
Each project proposal must be submitted by a project consortium consisting of at least three eligible applicants from at least two participating countries. Each of the applicants must have the interest and competence to undertake research, development or innovation within the specified themes.
