Young journalists, activists are invited to apply for Multimedia Summer Camp which will be conducted in Latvia from 12 – 25 August,2013 organised by Soros Foundation. The goal of this program is to offers a unique insight into digital journalism through a series of workshops taught by local and European experts and media production phase covering important social and economic issues currently relevant to European countries.
Through a mix of formal tuition, discussions, debates and media production you’ll get practical advice on digital best practice, learn new skills and gain the confidence to pursue your own social change projects.
Course will cover:
- multimedia journalism,
- media and digital literacy,
- debate and critical thinking,
- using social media for campaigning and activism,
- video, audio, photo and print techniques,
- visual storytelling and using data
- internet security and privacy.
Eligibility-
18 – 29 years old journalist or/and activist from Europe are invited to apply
