Il Tamarindo, in association with The Hub Milano, is currently inviting proposals for Nausicaa Lab 2011-2012 Competition. Young people aged under 35 are encouraged to propose “cultural business idea” whose aim is creation of a startup company with a clear focus on culture and creativity in the Mediterranean region. The best proposal, selected by jury, will have free access to The Hub incubator services in Milan to develop its venture.
Program Objectives
Il Tamarindo wants to give concrete support to the creative energies of the new Mediterranean generations, rewarding entrepreneurial ideas that can generate business opportunities at the same time, stimulating cultural activities and creating synergies between the different countries of the Mediterranean region.
The first edition of the Nausicaa Lab competition is linked to the Milanese territory and aims at bringing new inputs to the economic and cultural development of the area. This will contribute to define a strong identity for the creative ventures; to build a network of cultural entrepreneurship; and to strengthen the ties between the Milan area and the Mediterranean countries in the field of cultural business, leveraging the influence of Milan as a node of excellence in a global network of creative industries and in the cultural field, and the role of cultural districts in Lombardy.
