Transatlantic Media Fellowships opportunity has been announced by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in US. The purpose of this program is to promote excellence in transatlantic media coverage, and mutual understanding between Europeans and Americans, by allowing selected European journalists to spend three months visiting widely differing areas of the United States. These fellowships are funded by the Marcus Wallenberg Foundation for Advanced Education in International Industrial Entrepreneurship.
TMN covers round trip economy class air travel from Europe to the United States, travel and accommodation within the United States, and all program-related expenses.
Eligibility & Criteria-
Fellowships are offered on an individual basis and may be applied for at any time. Candidates should explain what they hope to achieve from their visits to the United States, the main themes they want to pursue, and the general kind of reporting they wish to undertake. Candidates may come from any European country, must speak fluent English, have a valid driver’s license, and will preferably work for an influential media outlet at the national or regional level. A telephone interview may be required. Fellowships are normally awarded to journalists with little previous experience in the United States.
