10th European Development Fund is announced for Deepening Decentralisation and Non State Actors. This proposal is invited to increase the role of non state actors in reducing poverty, promoting inclusive sustainable economic growth and entrenching democratic principles.
Three priority areas are as follows-
- Developing the organisational and institutional capacity of local NSAs to engage effectively in shaping the local development agenda and holding community and districts councils accountable.
- Increasing collaboration between NSAs, council and private sector in delivering social, combating HIV/AIDS and implementing sustainable local economic activities.
- Increasing the capacity of national level NSAs to deliver services to and advocate on behalf of their rural constituents.
Eligibility & Criteria
- Be legal person
- Be non profit making
- be non state actors constituted in accordance with the legislation in force in the country concerned
- Be nationals of Lesotho, a member sate of EU, or an ACP member state.
- Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with their partners, not acting as an intermediary
- Applicants must apply in English only.
