AIBS Fellowships supports three types of Fellowship including Senior, Junior as well as Pre-Dissertation. These fellowships are intended for research in Bangladesh for a minimum of two months and a maximum of twelve months and are funded by the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs through the Council of American Overseas Research Centers
Awarding a grant to a faculty or student from a US institution is a member of the AIBS will incur no additional fees but for submissions from non-represented institutions there is a $250 membership fee to be paid before an award can be dispersed.
Application Procedure:
Applications must be submitted via the AIBS online application package. The application will include a proposal (10 page maximum), curriculum vitae (2 page maximum) and three letters of reference. Pre-doctoral applications must also submit a transcript and a letter from the dissertation advisor. (This letter can be one of the three letters of reference.)
