The Al-Mubadarah Fellowship: Arab Diaspora for Development (“Al-Mubadarah Fellowship”) is an innovative and unique program that works to engage diverse global Arab communities and individuals to contribute to professional and economic development in the Arab World, namely in their ancestral homelands.
The Al-Mubadarah Fellowship offers skilled and accomplished Arab Diaspora professionals with the tools to become mentors, advisors and colleagues to promising professionals and institutions in their field throughout the Arab World. The Fellowship aims to empower Arab professionals to realize the great potential in the impact of their professional contributions in helping advance and build institutions and community throughout the Arab World.
It is a ‘PeaceCorps’ for the Arab world that is staffed by Arabs. As part of our commitment to professional development both in the Diaspora and in MENA, Al-Mubadarah provides Fellows with administrative support, legal support, and extensive training and coaching throughout the duration of their Fellowship placement to ensure they have the tools necessary to effectively communicate and share their skills and expertise.
The Arab Diaspora – those of Arab descent who live outside the Arab world – has a crucial role to play in the development of Arab communities and countries. Given the high number of Arabs in the Diaspora, their education levels, and their career successes, the Arab Diaspora can be a catalyst for community development in the Arab world – through the investment of their time, expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit.
