The University Of Nottingham, United Kingdom invites female scholars in science, technology, engineering and/or medicine (STEM) who are at the early stage of their academic career to apply for the Anne McLaren Fellowships program. This is an opportunity for the female researchers in STEM subjects to establish independent research careers.
The Fellowship covers – competitive salary between £28,132 and £45,053; an opportunity to apply for additional funding for research expenses up to £25,000 per annum; additional childcare costs of up to £5,000 per annum where appropriate; relocation expenses up to £1500; an opportunity to spend periods of time at University of Nottingham campuses in Malaysia and China; and participation in a mentoring scheme and career development program.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have no more than 8 years of post-doctoral experience following the award of their PhD.
- Candidates must demonstrate sufficient experience to confirm their ability to complete the proposed program of work.
- Applicants must have an track record of research including high-quality publications, research funding and/or prizes and awards.
- Applicants must provide evidence of a growing reputation, both nationally and internationally.
- Applicants must demonstrate an aptitude to lead and inspire others within the research team and institution more broadly.
- Applicants must demonstrate potential to act as an ambassador in their research field and more widely.
