Kinship Conservation Fellows, an environmental leadership program emphasizing market-based solutions to environmental problems, is open for 2015 applications. The month-long program will take place from 28 June – 29 July 2015 in Bellingham, Washington. Conservation leaders with at least five years of experience, who are deeply committed to conservation, involved with the implementation of market-based approaches to solve environmental problems, and ready to be part of an expanding community of global leaders are highly encouraged to apply to become a fellow.
Each fellow will receive $6,000 stipend award with lodging provided.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should possess a minimum of a four-year college degree (or its overseas equivalent).
- Applicants should have a minimum of five years relevant work experience after their degree.
- Applicants must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Applicant must be a conservation practitioner (rather than an academic or researcher).
- Application must be submitted via online application system.
Complete application materials include – a statement summarizing leadership experience (maximum 150 words), a statement on why the applicant wants to attend Kinship (maximum 250 words), a statement of experience working with market-based tools (250 words), a project description on environmental issue related to work and plans for developing solution (maximum 500 words), a resume reflecting at least five years of work experience in environmental sector, and a photo of the applicant. The recommendation letters one from current employer and one from a colleague should be emailed by the recommenders themselves. Scanned letters in PDF or JPEG formats are accepted.
