Ashoka is not a funding agency or foundation. Some Ashoka Fellows may receive a modest, catalytic stipend. Increasingly, Ashoka is emphasized on catalyzing Fellows by introducing them to an entrepreneurial platform of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs who source opportunities for partnership and expansion from the community and find in Ashoka a global professional home.
“Ashoka-Arab Fellowship” work in the Arab region and support the social entrepreneur in members of Arab league of nations .
The foundation is looking for civil society leaders who have the following:
· A New Idea (not a project, but a “system changing idea”)
· A local solution to solve a pressing problem on a national level
· Already started implementing his/her idea
