The Atlas Corps Fellowship is a 6 to 18 month professional fellowship opportunity that allows candidates to serve full time at host organizations located in the United States. The fellows work on issues that complement their expertise and get a platform to share best practices and supplement daily knowledge with theoretical topics presented in the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab.
When to Apply?
Applications can be made any time during the year. Class decisions are normally made 4-8 weeks before the class begins. The classes begin in January, May and September thus the class decisions are made in November, March and July. Applying by mid July can secure seat for January classes, applying by early November can secure seat for May classes and applying by mid March can secure seat for September classes. The priority deadlines are set in such a way that the applicants can sit for English tests and interviews before the final decision and selection is made.
An individual can make only one application per year unless there is a drastic change in the status. e.g. Winning an award, completing graduate school and such. One application is considered for evaluation for a period of one year until the candidate chooses to withdraw the application from consideration.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be from anywhere in the world with 2 or more years of relevant experience in the non-profit/non-government organization/social sector.
- Applicants must be at most 35 years of age.
- Applicants must have a Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- Applicants must be proficient in English language.
- Applicants must be committed to return to their home country after completion of the fellowship program.
- Application must be made via online submission portal. The application requires the candidate to provide background information, personal bibliography, essays and two letters of recommendation.
