The Dahlem Research School (DRS) is located at Freie Universität, Berlin. A new research fellowship program called “CoFund” has been started by the DRS for international students and researchers. Co-funded by the Marie Curie CoFund program of the European Commission, this fellowship program intends to strengthen the international dimension of junior researchers and supports highly qualified postdocs from abroad.
Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
Starting in January 2012, each research fellowship is awarded for fifteen months to support postdocs carrying out their research projects in one of Freie Universität’s Excellence Programs. Applicants are expected to propose their own project plan focusing on the research area of their own choice, based on the research fields of the participating Excellence Programs.
The program is designed to support the further academic career development of the researchers by enhancing their research experience integrated in excellent research groups, by facilitating new co-operations in a stimulating research environment, as well as by promoting their teaching and leadership skills. Aiming at submitting a successful grant application for a subsequent project at the Freie Universität by end of the fellowship, the program will provide professional guidance essential to preparing grant proposals.
