The New Europe College (NEC) – Institute for Advanced Study in Romania invites young international researchers and academics working in the field of humanities, social studies, and economics for Academic Fellowship 2015-16.
Fellowship includes a monthly stipend of EUR 700, accommodation, international transportation from and to the home country of the Fellows at the beginning and end of the fellowship and season holidays. Fellows who stay for the whole academic year will be offered one month research trip abroad to an institution of their choice. They will be provided EUR2,600 for transportation, accommodation and per diem. They can also opt for a field research in Romania or outside as an alternative.
The Fellows will
- Work on their own projects
- Take part in the scientific events organized by the New Europe College
- Produce a research paper reflecting the results of her/his work over the duration of the fellowship (at the end of the fellowship)
Note the Key Dates
- 8 December 2014 – Application submission deadline
- 18 December 2014 – Confirmation to applicants on the receipt of application
- Mid-March 2015 – Notification of results of the pre-selection of applications
- 15-18 April 2015 – Interview of shortlisted candidates for interview via Skype.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must hold a PhD title or be a doctoral student in an advanced stage of the research.
- Preference is given to the candidates who are below 40 years of age and have not received NEC fellowship in the past.
- Applicants must have proficiency in English language. Working language command over French and German are desirable.
