Applications are being accepted for Investigative Journalists Program offered under The Lab at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University. The goal of this program is to write monographs about “institutional corruption” within selected institutions. “Institutional corruption” refers not to bribery, or other familiar violations of law or ethics. It refers instead to influences within an economy of influence that tend to (1) weaken the effectiveness of an institution, especially by (2) weakening public trust of the institution.
Submissions required-
- A proposal
- A comprehensive project budget
- A Curriculum vitae
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Successful candidates would be in residence in Cambridge during the academic year. They must participate in a weekly workshop with an interdisciplinary group of research and practice fellows.
- Candidates would keep the copyright to any work produced, but grant the Center a nonexclusive license to publish the final report.
- The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of investigative reporting experience, though those with less experience will be considered.
