The Hague Academy for Local Governance in the Netherlands conducts regular training courses on subjects related to local governance and democracy. Participants from all across the world such as professionals, citizens, civil servants, mayors etc attend the courses and benefit from the trainings. The Hague Academy for Local Governance aims to develop the knowledge and skills of local government practitioners and professionals advising and cooperating with local authorities worldwide.
There are four upcoming training courses organized by the Academy for NGOs, donor agencies, government officials and other civil society practitioners. These courses charge a fee and it can be very expensive for NGO representatives from developing countries to afford and participate in them. But the Hague Academy as a Dutch institution can help provide fellowship support to needy participants to attend the course. This fellowship can not only cover the course fee, but it can also support your travel and other related costs.

- Leadership and Municipal Management in The Hague from 8 – 19 April, 2013
- Peacebuilding and Local Governance in The Hague from 27 May – 7 June, 2013
- Citizen Participation and Accountability in The Hague from 17 – 28 June, 2013
