The NSEP Bridge Award Fellowship is a cooperative initiative of The Institute of International Education (IIE), The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR) and the National Security Education Program (NSEP). This award seeks to provide and empower Boren Fellows with the analytical as well as practical skills helpful to pursue Asia-focused public service careers.
NBR invites Boren Fellowship recipients who have received a Boren Fellowship within the last two years to apply for an 8-12 month fellowship at NBR’s headquarters in Seattle or at NBR’s Washington, DC, office.
Responsibilities are varied and include conference and meeting organization, editing and proofreading, research and writing, fundraising and corporate development support, outreach, website editing and database work, and general office support. This award will provide Boren Fellows opportunities to gain comprehensive knowledge of Asia within their regional or functional areas of interest, to work within an organization which is focused on policy-relevant research, and to become better acquainted with the U.S. foreign policy process.
Applications for the 2012–13 fellowship years will be reviewed through a rolling applications process. Decisions are then made on a case-by-case basis and applicants usually hear back within 4 to 8 weeks about their status and whether they will be invited for interview.
Deadline: 31 March 2012
