The Peace Revolution invites Pacific region youth to apply for the Bula Pacific Youth Fellowship program to be held in Fiji from 6-10 March 2015.
Young leaders actively working in democracy, sustainable development, human rights and peace-building within the spheres of society, culture and media are highly encouraged to apply.
Program Highlights – Through meditation and tools to inner peace & leadership skills, the program will
- Foster mutual understanding, dialogue and cooperation.
- Promote tools of non-violent communication and peace building.
- Develop & strengthen an active network of youth peace builders.
- Explore the idea that self-development is a core foundation of world change and helping others.
The fellowship covers full or partial sponsoring of airfare, free – accommodation, catering, local transportation and meditation retreat fee.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be the nationals and residents of one of the following pacific countries – Fiji, Solomon Islands, Kiribati, Federated States of Micronesia, Guam, Palau, Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, Samoa, Tonga, Northern Mariana Islands, Tuvalu, Niue, Norfolk Island, American Samoa, Tokelau, French Polynesia, New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna, Vanuatu, Nauru, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Papua New Guinea, Greenland (Maluku, Papua and West Papua), Tahiti, Wake Island, Zenadh Kes (Torres Strait Islands), Banaba, Midway Islands, Pitcairn.
- Applicants should be 18-30 years of age at the time of application submission to receive air-fair support.
- Applicants must be proficient in English.
- Applicants should be optimistic & open-minded, show leadership potential, and have a genuine interest in peace and dialogue.
- Candidates should complete 21 days of online self-development program to participate in the fellowship. This is not mandatory to submit application.
