The Schlumberger Foundation is inviting applications for 2015-2016 Faculty for the Future fellowships from women belonging to developing and emerging economics who are enrolled, admitted or applied to a host university/research institute abroad. Major goal of the program is to generate conditions that result in more women pursuing academic careers in STEM disciplines thus contributing to the socio-economic development of their home countries and regions.

The Faculty for the Future Grants are up to USD50,000 per year based on actual costs for eligible expenses. The grants can be renewed through to completion of studies. The renew depends on performance, self-evaluation, recommendation from supervisors and strong evidence of reintegration plans into the home country.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be female and citizen of developing country or emerging economies. Candidates holding dual citizenship of which one is citizenship of a developed country are not eligible.
- Applicants must be preparing for a PhD, or postdoctoral study in the physical sciences, engineering and related disciplines.
- Applicants must be enrolled, admitted or have applied to a host university/research institute abroad.
- Applicants must hold an excellent academic record.
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate active participation in faculty life and outreach programs to encourage young women into the sciences.
- Applicants must be willing to contribute to the socio-economic development of their home country and region by strengthening the faculties in your home universities, pursuing relevant research, or using your specific expertise to address public policy matters.
