The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, University of Michigan is accepting applications for Summer Research Fellowship program in Women and Gender Studies. The fellowship provides students with the chance to undertake and complete individual research projects.
The stipend award for this fellowship program is $2000 which will start from 1 June 2015 and will continue till 7 August 2015. Students will get the opportunity to work twenty hours per week, for ten weeks on an independent or collaborative research project.
The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) is a national award winning program which creates research partnerships between first and second year students and University of Michigan faculty and research scientists.
Eligibility Criteria
- The proposed project should be designed to increase your research skills and knowledge in a discipline or interdisciplinary area.
- Students must be able to participate in weekly seminars to learn more about current and emerging research in women and gender studies.

Complete and submit UROP online application form. Application consists of personal statement, 5-8 pages research proposal, 1 letter of recommendation from project mentor, and official transcript.
