Talent for Governance has announced a call for applicants for the Talent for Governance Programme 2012 which provides an opportunity to a limited number of young, talented and motivated civil servants, working for a local government in select countries.
The Talent for Governance programme generally comprises the following components:
- Two week training course at The Hague Academy for Local Governance
- Week-long internship at a Dutch Municipality
- Talent for Governance Network activities
The talent programme will be organised three times in 2012 and each programme will revolve around a different local governance theme. There will be just one application periode. In 2011, applicants need to choose between these programme themes, based on the topics of the training course which is part of the programme:
- Citizen Participation and Accountabilty – Programme from 16 April to4 May 2012
- Local Economic Development – Programme from 10 to 28 September 2012
- Local Service Delivery & MDG’s – Programme from 15 October to 2 November 2012
