The United Nations International Law Fellowship Program provided by the Codification Division of the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs is open for applications. The program provides high-quality training to professionals in the field of international law to deepen their knowledge of international law and of the legal work of the United Nations and its associated bodies. The government officials and teachers of international law from developing countries and countries with emerging economies are the target group. The training will be conducted in The Hague Academy of International Law, Netherlands from 22 June – 31 July 2015.

Total 30 candidates will be awarded the fellowship. Fellows will be provided training materials, travel expenses, accommodation and a stipend to cover local living costs (food, public transport, etc.) and the costs related to their participation.
Nominations should be made by countries that are strongly encouraged to nominate several candidates who meet the required qualifications.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should be between 24 and 45 years of age at the beginning of the Fellowship Program.
- The selected participants are required to submit a medical certificate of good health and to certify that they are able to attend the entire course period.
- Candidates must be proficient in English language. Non-native individuals must submit proof of language abilities.
