Deadline: Late March 2015
The 2015 Canadian International Food Security Research Fund (CIFSRF) will be announced in early February 2015 with late March deadline. The call will support projects that aim at developing, testing and applying ways to scale up food security and nutrition innovations.
Projects that promise consistent and meaningful development outcomes (i.e. reaching important numbers of end-users) through the testing, demonstration and effective deployment of scaling up models, delivery mechanisms and approaches will be supported by the fund.
Project funding will be made in the range of CA$0.5 to CA$ 1.5 Million.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be research, development, and private sector organizations from Canada and from eligible developing countries.
- Partnerships must include two or more organizations; at least one must be a Canadian organization. At least one of the key implementing partners must be a private sector organization (private company, business-focused NGO, investment organization, etc.).
- List of eligible countries – Algeria, Angola, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Colombia, Comoros, Congo Dem. Rep., Congo Rep., Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Equitorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, India, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Peru, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, St. Kitts and Nevis, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zambia.
